Alingsås municipality is investing in primary education and is now increasing the number of teachers. As we grow, we can strengthen the quality of teaching and help more students qualify for high school.

Ingared School is a F-6 school with about 330 students, located in a scenic area in the southern part of Alingsås municipality. In August 2025, we moved into our newly built school. Here, we place the student's learning at the center. Our goal is to provide very high-quality teaching, a conducive learning environment in classrooms, and high goal achievement. We build on good relationships and students' abilities while fostering curiosity together. JOB DESCRIPTION

In the role of special teacher, you are a key person in our development work focusing on accessible teaching and early interventions. You will work at the individual, group, and organizational levels with particular responsibility for interventions in mathematics and Swedish.

You will closely collaborate with our current special teacher, teachers, special educators, and student health team to find the right support and strategies for each student. We have a municipality-wide screening plan that you will help implement and work from to identify needs and opportunities early.

You are an integral part of the student health team along with school management, special teachers, special educators, school nurses, school counselors, and school psychologists, actively contributing to the school's development through pedagogical guidance and collegial learning.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher with a special education degree and experience working in primary education. You have a strong student focus and a positive view of each individual's willingness and ability to develop. You are confident in your professional role, take initiative, and are driven to find solutions in a changing school environment. You also have experience working with digital tools as a natural part of the learning process.

As a person, you are communicative and collaborative, with a good ability to work cross-professionally with colleagues and student health. You want to help build a school where all students have the opportunity to succeed, feel significant, and reach their full potential.
